£500 laptop?
Discussion
Just moved into my flat and currently don’t have a PC or TV
and my work blocks access to most site, so unless I go back to my mums every night to check email and general computer stuff I need to get a laptop soon!
What make, model, spec should I be looking for with a budget of around £500
Also who is currently doing the best broadband/phone deal?
Thanks
Colin
ps I was also thinking of getting a samsung LE32R74BDX 32" lcd tv which comet are doing for £755 online, any thoughts?

Get a Dell cheapo laptop and a good waranty. Pick up a freeview USB stick.
It's not the worlds best solution to having a nice TV and computer, but all things in consideration it's good on a small budget.
As for broadband, depends if you have NTL in your area see if they'll do a cable connection, if not your on dial-up or ADSL via a BT line. As far as ADSL goes, pick a provider avoid TalkTalk for the time being but other than that they are all ofering pretty much the same packages.
