Have got a couple of these, and a couple of ceiling speakers....

Should I be lining the rears with anything? Not really looking to spend any money doing so, but anything that may actually help the sound a bit. Egg boxes? Expanding foam? Flashing tape?

Are those amina plaster in speakers?

If they are normal air moving speakers some sound deadening behind the wall mount speakers would be an idea.

Ceiling speakers are usually alright.

I can't remember the brand, they look like pretty standard ones...

I cant make out from the photo what the construction of the walls is.

With the Amina speakers you literally plaster over them so there is no speaker visible in the wall at all.

These dont work along the same principal as normal speakers so dont require the sound deadening at the rear.

Rockwall stuff would be fine to reduce the back projection of sound within the speaker hole.

It should also improve the quality of the noise coming out the front as well.

The wall is constructed as follows:

Brick
Cavity Wall Insulation
Breeze Blocks
Dry lined
Plaster

The speakers just sit in the holes.

Bit of rockwool will do the job.
