Had an e-mail appear in Mailwasher entitled 'Mail Server Report'. Had a quick look - text said something like 'your computer is sending out worms - to stop this please install the attached software'.

Yeah I had something similar the other week, claiming to be from some company and that my PC was sending worm emails and needed a windoze update to fix it with a legit sounding name, and they had conveniently attached a zip file containing the fix. I gave the zip a virus scan and it indeed was a virus, but I expect quite a few people will fall for it

Don't think so, it was from a more domestic-looking address. That's so often the giveaway - 'Mail Server Report' is quite a good title for looking official but when you see it's from [e-mail] it rather gives the game away...

Really? I just sent that person my intenet bank login details! Dos that mean I am now being electronically raped? Never mind I still have those shares in a Nigerian diamond mine I bought for £20k, they told me will be worth £40k next month. Bless them so considerate.
