No, all adds up to 100%.
I guess the individual options refer to solely or exclusively - nothing else but.

Lol shows exactly what the results of these kinds of mini-polls are actually worth!

So the conclusion of that is that 71.29% of people that bother to fill in surveys use Firefox? hehe

I'd say! From our web stats (just over 1 million visits per month)

IE 73%
Firefox 15%
Unknown 8%
Safari 2%
Mozilla 2%
Netscape 1%
AOL 1%

IE still sucks though

You think the BBC might bother to look at it's own logs and give the browsers splits from people accessing the web-site...rolleyes

40.4% for IE
37.7% for Firefox
13.2% for "Unknown"
with minor percentages for "Nutscrape", Safari and such.
Of course most of those stats are from people appearing from here (yoinking pictures and such) so it's not quite a sampling of the average internet use.

I don't use Internet Explorer, because there hasn't been one for the Mac for about 2 year. However to get some sites to display properly I have to tell my browser to identify itself as IE. I bet that's where some of the extra IE numbers come from (though probably only 1-2%).

Do you recon its a case of hijacking the result? A bit like Pistonhead assaults on websites that have the what do you think of speed camera questionares?

Copying stats that are mainly useless to me onto PH is fun silly

But.. Konqueror? Netshow? Camino? -- you what?
