Hi Jamie,
Has something happened to Register1? I can't get on to it from 2 different computers on 2 different connections. I can't even access my page or raise a ticket.
cheers

Looks like Level(3) are having an issue at Telehouse atm which is affecting alot of peoples transit, depending on which DSL provider you're on, you might be caught up with it.. My Bulldog isn't working, however Pipex DSL seems to be.

I've raised it with my people and it's being chased.

All VDS accounts are fine, any web / email forwarding accounts will depend on which DSL provider you use (as to who's rerouted and who hasn't)

Isn't there some form of network resiliency?

Sure there is, but this wasn't an issue with us, this was DSL providers being unable to route.

Very strange. When I consulted for Reuters we had a datacentre in a Level3 facility (Goswell Road). It once took 6 hours to get access to the suite.... biometric security, triple security airlocks etc etc

Still trying to understand here what the single point of failure was on this outage? Don't datacentre providers have multiple suppliers/carriers

Sure do, but BGP and multiple transit links aren't free, as such they are only available on the Premium (Serverstream) products.
