With bluetooth, is it possible to have simultaneous pairings that work together...?

For example; a mobile (smart)phone connected via BT to a BT GPS receiver AND to a BT car handsfree kit.

When using a the phone for sat nav, it needs the BT GPS, but should I get a call, then the phone part works (currently via a wired handsfree kit).

Can I use a BT headset / BT handsfree kit in the car, or will the pairings go silly

Thoughts?

I believe so, but with Windows Mobile nothing is ever straightforward.

Best bet is to have a good search here

Yep, do it all the time.

In fact you can have up to 32 concurrent connected BT devices, according to the standard.

WM5 just gets on with the job at hand.

I use BT TomTom and connect to my BT car-kit at the same time from my WM5.0 phone (MDA Vario II). TomTom automatically mutes itself, but carries on navigating, when I receive a call.

Thanks gents.

The boss has an MDA Vario thing with CoPilot (*) (free deal including BT GPS receiver) and is looking to go BT headset.

I've got the Orange M600 with TT Nav 6, and I'm looking at a BT GPS receiver and probably a Parrot BT car kit

(*) - surprisingly good actually.

My concerns (aside from WM5 as Judas points out) stem from the BT "standard" - been a while since I've done anything with it (paid the price for being an early adopter when devices meeting the standard didn't generally talk unless manufactured by the same people... rolleyes )

No problems. Set up the CoPilot install. Then add the handsfree kit via the Bluetooth manager.

You can even choose whether you want the handsfree set to get the voice instructions from Copilot as well as the calls, or just the calls only. Choose this uner properties when the handsfree is connected.

I can have my sat-nav instructions playing through the car BT kit if I want...
