But that is totally different to multi room, you have to watch the same channel in both rooms, which is almost pointless!

I am not saying it is the same as multi room, i do not want to watch different channels, i cant be both rooms at the same time, can i...... so that makes in NOT pointless

The amount of SKY i watch in the bedroom does not warrent extra money per month as it will tend to be watching the last bit of what was on downstairs.

Anyone have some constructive comments?

Don't be silly, this is the Internet....

Actually, I've seen the quality across an old version of that Philips box, and it was ok for small TV watching. Not HDTV but ok. Some people suffer from lots of interference problems (wireless internet, microwave, hot water heater, wireless phones, rubbing your head with balloon...you get the picture, or not as it is), but the setup I saw was ok.

So for 14-20" bedroom tele it's probably fine.

We've got one box hooked to 7 different rooms!

Using an aerial multi-adapter, my dad just ran the one signal and split it to the bedrooms all over the house.

Bit cheeky, but works great when we can agree what to watch as a family and then bugger off to watch it in solitude

Farly simple, industry standard TV amp system with IR pass through.

Basically take the RF2 output from your Sky box and wire it either directly to your other tv or to one of those amps to share it to more that one other location.

Then press 'select 4, 0, 1, select' to enter the service menu of the sky box and turn on power to RF2

Cheers Chris,

Just read something similar on another website. This page i was reading suggested that i could split the signal on the normal coax cable.

You can split the cable, but the losses soon mount up if you do more that a 2 way split.

A cheap 4 way amp from Global Communications T140 wouldnt even need its own power as it can run off the 9v from the sky box.
