Don't even know if this is possible, but is there some way of connecting the MP3 bit of my phone to my Sony head unit? The car stereo is a DAB unit with Rca connections for an Aux input but no Bluetooth (otherwise it would be easy!)

Can I get a thingy to plug into the bottom of the phone, and then into the headunit via the Rca leads perhaps?

Can't see why not, if nothing else you should be able to jury-rig the hands-free kit and wire the three stereo wires up to the required AUX connectors.

There's an aux input you say? Do you have the "standard" SE wired hands free kit, with the piece that goes into your mobile (that has a mic' on the end of it) that you then plug "normal" headphones into to listed to the musi? Plug that bit in your phone, throw a 3.5mm jack - 3.5mm jack lead into it and the other end into the aux in...works for me (and my tape adaptor lol...)although I think you might be talking about a slightly different problem, in terms of your aux in?

Have an aux input on the car stereo, but is left and right Rca leads. I do have the standard handsfree thing but would need some surgery surely to plug into the car?

The Wxxx range of SE phones come with proper headphone socket thingy, whereas the Kxxx series of phones don't.

So what you need is a Wxxx headphone adapter and a 3.5mm -> 3.5mm cable and that should be it.

I believe this do be the fella:

edit - you need 3.5mm -> RCA plugs if that is your aux input.
