I have updated my default email from Outlook Express to Outlook, imported the accounts and all emails, but cannot now send emails via Outlook.

Anyone know how to set re-set the defalut back to Outlook Express??

What is happening when you try to send emails? Outlook is a far better client to use.

Think it might have been something to do with the dial up / wireless settings.

I'll try again tomorrow, just had to get some emails out quickly today....

My best guess would be your outgoing email settings are incorrect.

You should be able to find out what settings are required from your email provider, most use "outgoing server requires authentication" but you should be able to find out again from the email provider.

This is in all likelihood what the problem is in Outlook.

Assuming Outlook 2003, perform the following:

Start Outlook. Click Tools, E-mail Account. Select "View or Change Existing...". Click Next. Click More Settings. Click Outgoing Server. Tick "My Outgoing server requires authentication" and ensure "Use same settings as my incoming server" as the radio button next to it.

Laugh manically as you can now send mail from Outlook.

ATB,
Greg
