Ive just run my virus check and it piced up a Trojan Horse in the C drive, AVG is unable to heal or vault it, I tried system restore and that didnt get rid either.

What is it?

Try a full scan again in safe mode - to get into safe mode, start tapping the F8 after you turn the PC on but before the windows XP logo appears, and pick 'safe mode' from the menu that appears. Do a full scan, if it cleans it reboot and scan again to make sure its gone.

Try this:

http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

First one on the list is the one you're after.

Safe mode scan gets my vote.
However, if the Virus has got itself in to the System Restore area of the compy then it's a swine to get rid of as Windows doesn't let anyone else muck around in there.

Try disabling system restore and scanning. This will, however, probably obliterate all of your save points.

Hi, Im back, finally had BB sorted out.

Ive tried the "stinger" as recommended, it picked up the virus but when you say heal it still comes back up and the same with move to vault.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for replies so far
