Mate, you could belt the crap out of a key and it'll do nothing... you say "look at this" to anyone, and it'll work EVERY time...
I love it when my clients pay me to go and see those sort of problems in my software
Of course I'll be half way home and it'll start happening again
And of course that'll be when I'm rushing to meet someone for a drink.NickFRP said:
i read some where that Gmail store the users deleted emails on a seperate server. Gmail also trolls through your email to build a profile of your account and also then can log the sites and times you spend on them
There are similar rumours that Google's Desktop Search does the same thing with your local drive content, but have not sat down and read anything from a source that proves it yet. Personally, I'm not sure, Google in some way seem such a relaxed hippyish company, giving away cool free stuff and making the world a better place. So part me feels if they are doing it, then from a technical point of view they didn't even think it was malicious, but just wanted to help users. But from a marketing perspective they are a damn clever company and thgeir revenue is almost entirely advertising based, what better way to target consumers even better by wading through their e-mail and hard drive to figure out what they'd really like.
The whole China censorship debacle makes them look a little less 60s cool too. But Mozilla openly support Google, installing links into FireFox and you'd imagine they'd be careful who they'd associate with, so who knows...
