I have to delete around 30 entries in the Registry on around 300 pc's ! This means searching the Registry on each one and manually deleting the keys which is a pain in the arse. It takes around 20 minutes per machine.

Does anyone know any software ( peferably free ) that enables a Registry to be searched for certain keywords and automatically delete them ?

You should be able to do this using a .reg file (assuming the keys are always in the same place)

See here for more info on creating the reg file (section deleting registry keys and values)

You can do it with a vbscript as well if you don't know the exact location on all the PC's and need to search for it - my vbs skills basically consist of a lot of copying, pasting & changing off google though so I can't give you anything off the top of my head unfortunatley.

yes I'd do this, and script it via a batch file. Bit clunky, but easy & will work
