Hi there,

I am looking to convert some MP3 files to play on a normal car CD player, which doesn't have MP3 compatability.
I have a Creative MediaSource Audio converter program which came with my Dell 5150C desktop.

Please can someone advise which of the following settings is most suitable.
Many thanks!

WMA, stereo, constant bitrate, 128kbps audio quality (ranges from 64 to 320)
WMA, stereo, variable bitrate, 10 to 98

or

WMA Pro, constant bitrate, 768kbps, 96 kHz, 7.1 Channel, 24 Bit CBR
WMA Pro, constant bitrate, 256 kbps, 96 kHz, 2 channel, 24 Bit CBR

or

WMA Lossless, Quality 100, 96 kHz, 2 Channel, 24 Bit VBR

Just use nero, it takes mp3 files and creates an audio cd out of it.

also use nero, just add the mp3's or wav's onto nero express, click a few boxes and come back later

all cd's are copied as the company car insurance does not cover personal stuff and if nicked would not lose all that much

Are you saying some of your audio files are in WMA (Windows Media Player) format?

In which case I'm pretty sure Media Player will burn them back to disc in audio rather than data format. If they're not protected then iTunes will do it also, and be a whole lot easier too.

Thanks for all your advice. The files are not protected and I want to convert them to a wav format. I didn't appreciate that I could do this with Nero, I have Nero 6 which came with a DVD writer, though it might be a cut down version. I will also look at itunes as another method. I had always thought the conversion needed a special program! Many thanks for all the help.
