Hi Guys,

I've designed a simple spreadsheet and applied autofilter but for some reason the drop down box isn't showing all the items in any given column. There's a pattern in that I think I've identified at which row in the spreadsheet the autofilter drop down appears to stop and the data is consistent across the columns if that makes any sense.

I've used autofilter on a number of spreadsheets before and it's worked brilliantly, however for some reason on this one it isn't happy.

I'm sure it's something I've done, but I just don't know what. confused

Any ideas?

S

edited: it appears to be row 129 where the problem occurs. Anything >row 130 doesn't appear in the drop down box.

Are there any blanks in the list ( can you remove them ?)

Remove Autofilter and Highlight whole screen turn on filter again

There is a limit in what the drop down will show - iirc about the 1000 variable. Not sure why yours is giving up after 129 unless it is a large rather awkward spredsheet.

Thanks.

Following your comments its apparent that there are/were some blank rows, which were causing the problem. I've deleted those rows and the problem seems to be resolved.

Thanks again.

edited: bit funny really as the blank rows were only copies of the blank rows between rows 1 and 130.
