Epsom CX5400 print probs

My CX5400 has decided to stop printing properly. It seems the black is not coming through. I've just replaced the cartridge with a genuine Epsom one, done all the nozzle cleaning checks several times but to no avail, now I'm stumped!

Anything else I can do or is it a trip to the hospital for it?

We've got one of those, with a similar problem. Search on Google, I'm sure you'll find lots on this. IIRC, there's a vacuum tube that comes away from the print head. Replacing this sometimes cures the problem.
