Setting up an internet Exchange account on Mac Entourage

What I nightmare!

Does anyone know why I'm having such an issue setting up a mail account on Entourage - our work emails can be accessed via the net through a remote connection to our Exchange server. IT apparently can't connect the server directly to my mail programme so I thought I'd be able to use the internet server connection, which works fine when I connect via Safari.

Any help is gratefully received!

by internet do you mean outlook web access? you need to point entourage at the url. there is a guide somewhere on the interweb.
