Photo printers and pictbridge

[mindgam3]

I am looking to buy a photo printer for my GF for xmas and have been looking at the Canon selphy range.

I know they say that any printer and camera with pictbridge should work, but is this true?

She has a Olympus mini mju which has an xd card. I know the selphy printers don't directly support xd cards so should there be a problem with using the camera via usb? Any known compatability issues with pictbridge?

Thanks
