I am considering a purchase of such an item for a Crimbo pressie.
From a brief reccie of the market, the 7" Philips seems to have good reviews. Does anyone have one or similar device ?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated ?

Just finished reading PCW magazine....and I think they said it was the best one to go for. Can hold 50 pics in its own memory, and take different cards with your pics on to display. Personally I think they are expensive for what they do, and at not very high resolution.

Go for it

PS matey, did you get the pics from last year's BTaP...I gave them to Dazren at this year's BTaP to get them to you.

Didn't The Gadget Show review a few of them a couple of weeks ago? They said that, by and large, they were all poor value for money (or something like that).

I have a Philips one in our shops - a really nice piece of kit - no brains needed - 50 pics - the way it scolls through is nice too - lots of our clients have made positive comments.

Well worth the investment - we are going to buy 3 more!!!

If you can afford to wait, there is supossed to be a new version either in the shops now or coming soon, with a nifty 9" version as well.

From what I have read, the cheaper ones are not worth the money, Amazon had some for £49.99, but you gets what you pays for.

I bought a great 8" non-Philips one from Amazon. It looks like a normal photo frame.

I bought two of the Philips ones having read a little bit - they seem to be the recommended ones in terms of picture quality.
