IE7. Any problems with it?
Discussion
Yep, it doesn't work!!!
Had the beta version for ages and it worked fine. Upgraded to the full version and it loads up ok but after about 5 seconds performs an illegal function and dumps out!!
Uninstalled it, reinstalled it and the same thing happens, gave up.
Firefox 2.0 all the way.
Cheers

Read the earlier IE7 threads.
In summary...
1) The IE7 browsing experience is much improved and is now on a par with Firefox.
2) Firefox still has the edge for advanced users with it's spell checker and awesome plugins.
3) IE7 fixed quite a few IE6 bugs (e.g. PNG transparency), unfortunately a few new bugs were introduced making some websites look strange or in rare cases unusable. The product I look after only broke under IE7 because we are bending the security model, the fix was dead easy but means we have to make a point release of our product.
4) Firefox has bugs too, it's no better or worse than IE, just different. It's a web developers nightmare, but c'est la vie.
So far it's just me and my IT director using IE7; we both like it.
Only reason that the rest of the company is holding off upgrading is that not all customers have upgraded to the new release.
Having said that - I'm writing this on Firefox

If anyone does a full enterprise release of IE7, then they must be very brave or naive.
I am sure if FF obeyed Group Policy a lot of companies would use it. IE7 is a big step over IE6 though, I'm just waiting for all of the inevitable bugs/issues/problems with the new version.
FF does have some problems but is an absolute saint compaired to IE though!

Bought a new lappy Tuesday and part of the finalising of the software install was IE7, I had a very frustrating day yesterday with it, it kept bringing my home page up as MS and no matter what I did it would not allow me to change it. Also, as I clicked on links etc it kept working offline and telling me to reconnect (never seen this action before)
I didn't like the format of it, ie the refresh, back, forward buttons etc, and the way it kept opening new tabs
I got that annoyed and frustrated with it that I got the OH to remove it and put 6 back on, and I am now very happy (gosh I am easilly pleased!)
