I need to remove Norton from my PC, but the uninstall command is not present in either the pull down menu or using 'Remove Programs' under the Control Panel.

How the hell can i uninstall Norton then furious

I do not have multiple logins, so i don't think it is anything to do with administrative rights.

Confused confused

I found that even with the uninstall it left little bits behind, so what I then do is do a file search for norton, nor, symantec, sym etc etc and manually delete files that look Norton related (obviously sym brings up other stuff, but you do get little icons which help you determine if its norton or not)

Thanks guys.

Norton has been a pain in the backside, i even paid for an update subscription last night to try and eliminate the messages i keep getting, but the subscription code Norton gave me doesn't work mad

I will never use Norton ever again after trying to uninstall it a year or so ago.

Do a search on the Norton website, there is an app which can purge it from your system completely, can't remember where it was though. It worked though.
