Cannot connect to secure sites

I get a 'connection refused' whenever i try to connect to secure login sites such as my bank, Paypal or mobile phone account, thankfully i can logon to Pistonheads and any other similar sites.

This has gradually got worse over time, to the point that i'm stuffed now, regardles whether i use IE or Firefox and no end of dicking about with browser security settings makes any difference.

Try disabling Internet security (norton, mcafee) for 5 mins or something and test again. I know norton use to do this.

If you have norton internet security even if disabling it down't work i would still advise uninstalling compleatly and running 'symnrt' just search google for it which totaly removes norton products and test again.
