URGENT! - Palm Treo 750V and HTV TyTn (Vodafone 1605)
Discussion
I am buying the Palm today. Chose it over the Tytn because i think it will make a better "phone" which is what I really want it for. The PDA functions are secondary...
Could anyone here tell me how to get rid of all the useless, slow, vodafone-centric crap software that will doubtless come with it?
Also, am I doing the right thing in buying this! One hour to purchase and counting!
I really want to use the phone for calls (primary use!), media (music and video) and I hope to able to put a wifi card into it at some point - Is this doable?

Can't comment on the Treo, thinking of getting one myself though.
The Vodafone 1605 (or whatever it's calling itself today) is a great PDA but my one died, leaving me stranded without a phone in New York just a week after I bought it. I really wanted to like it, I jumped through flaming hoops to get hold of one but I found it that bit too clunky and unreliable for use as a day to day phone and decided not to replace it.
If the firmware was improved, I'd have it as a briefcase phone during working hours but it's too much to carry around in the pocket of your jeans in the evening.
