X at top right of page always seemed a daft place for it! Too much mouse travel! Is there any way of moving it to top left? (long shot I know but just had to ask).

You can still double click the top left icon like in Windows 3.x

use [ALT] and [F4] together, zero mouse movement required!

Surely having it in the top left hand corner would cause just as much mouse travel as in the top right! laugh

It's not the size of your monitor, it's what (resolution) you do with it

Sneeze, and it takes me 5 minutes to find the damn pointer again. An inch of travel for the entire screen, never move my arm at all.

The amount of mouse movement does as well depend on your mouse's acceleration.
I need 9mm for 1600px. Anyway, some programs use mouse gestures, for example Firefox on Windows. This should allow you to close a window/tab everywhere above it yes

Have to disagree with you there. I worked for a Mac repair company and in the end I got so fed up of the unreliabilty and cost of replacement parts that I threw the towel in and went back to Windows based PC's.

Take a look at Mouse Properties in the Control Panel, in the Pointer Options you can set the CTRL key to show the location. Try it.

I know; should have added a
It is by far and away the best mouse I've ever had, and I've tried about 30.
Still not perfect, but close enought that it'll have to be something special to get me to replace it.
