Hiya

I'm just wondering if ayone out there uses a Blackberry 7130g handset with a Parrot CK3100 bluetooth car kit. As people may or may not know, bluetooth is not a standard protocol, and not all phones and accesories work together.

Some car kit websites list the Blackberry 7130v as compatible with the Parrot, and it looks like the 7130g is identical but before I waste any money I want to be sure!

In particular, will the phone books synchronise, and will the devices automatically pair as long as the bluetooth is switched on, and finally is teh audio quality up to scratch. I tried it with a Nokia CK7W, it was really echoey and you needed to manually pair the devices every flippin' time.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I know it says it is, however on some forums like expansys lots of people report various issues with various handsets so I was hoping someone might be able to speak from experience.

I'm just a bit wary of "works with all bluetooth handsets..." the 7130g is a newish model and I don't know the last time that Parrot tested models and updated their site.

Parrot are generally pretty good in my experience... but I've not tested the combination you've listed.

Might be time to find someone who has a CK3100 near you first...?

I've sync'd a 7130v with a ck3300, 7130g is the same phone without the vodafone branding from memory. Phone book syncs automatically upon connection. Signal strength shows but battery doesn't for some reason (might be the other way round).

Firmware is also upgradeable... to it'll only be a matter of time before it's supported...

Actually I went for the 3200, looks quite a bit more up to date with a more useable screen...I'll see how it goes!
