batch script files REGSVR32 dont display confirmation dialog
Discussion
Hi all,
Any idea on how i can stop the OK dialog displaying when running a batch file i've created? the script is shown below.
The code is for an issue that has started happening after a certain windows update has been ran and it causes SVSHOST errors which is the windows auto update and i have created this bat file to solve the issue for clients easily.
@ECHO OFF
CLS
ECHO 1. Registering DLLs
REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL
REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL
ECHO 2. Stopping windows update service
net stop WuAuServ
ECHO 3. Move old windows update folder
move %windir%\SoftwareDistribution %windir%\SDold
ECHO 4. Starting the windows update service
net start WuAuServ
ECHO Completed SVCHOST fix
PAUSE
Any ideas?
Liam

cheers mate worked a treat using it before the dll name
who would have thought of it heh /s for silent first logical thing i've seen by microsoft
It's worth keeping this batch file in mind because this issue is popping up more and more with our client so take it the rest of the world is the same.
