Photoshop Color Replacement Tool problems
Discussion
I have a photo of one of the lorrys where I work which I need to change the colour of. I'm using the Color Replacement Tool to do this. The lorry at the moment is a yellowish colour and needs to be a maroon but everytime I select the colour to change, then select the correct colour the lorry needs to be, it comes out a light pink. What am I doing wrong?
Try using a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer - select Yellows from the menu and try that. If there is any yellow in the rest of the image you may need to make a selection around the truck before doing this, or use the adjustment Layer's Mask to paint out the background.
You can then re-use this mask or selection on a Selective Colour Adjustment Layer to make any final tweaks.

Something like this? The second one has two Adjustment Layers - one for the yellow truck and one for the blue logo.
..Insert a few pictures..

That's exactly what I want to do, how exactly was that done?
What I find it hard to understand is why when the correct colour is selected to replace the yellow, it comes out completely different. See picture

I've just had a play with the color replacement tool and I'm having the same problem - Photoshop Help doesn't help.
The method I've described has always worked well for me. Click Layer>New Adjustment layer>Hue/Saturation, Click OK, and then select Edit: Yellows and you should see the effect.
