Practically any will do, look around Scan, Dabs, ebay (you will find new kit on there) for a 5.4k / 7.2k rpm 2.5" IDE drive.

When checking the specs try to find one that is fairly slim; although most Dell HDD sleds seem capable of taking any physical height drive.

Hitatchi seem to be the most common brand used in laptops these days. Never had any issues with their TravelStar range.

make sure that it is mountable onto your HDD caddy too as Dell seems to do everything slightly different.

Hence TravelStar recommended I'll wager when the OP opens the caddy it'll be an IBM TravelStar unit sat looking at him Every Dell laptops I've cracked seemed to be that way.

checkout seagate momentous drive also. Generally you only need to worry about the thickness of the drive. Some of the newer drives are sata but yours will be ATA/IDE/PATA (whatever they want to call it this week)
