Hi doing college project on microsoft project and when i am changeing the working time the hour will not change from 08:00 to 12:00 then hour for dinner 13:00 to 17:00 but i want to finish at 16:00 i have change the total hours in the week to 35 from 40 and 7 hours a day but still will not chnge these times any help is grateful thanks ross

Tools>Options from teh drop down menu - click on teh calenmder tab - you shoudl eb able to set your stuff there

when changing the working time be careful to always change in two locations:

Tools/Change working time
AND
Tools/Options/Caladar

Otherwise you'll end up with some very odd effects.

Thanks mile stylus changed the time on both. The project is about manufacturing wheel barrows and one problem i have is that the foreman looks after 20 operators and therefore by my calculations is equal to 5% per operator so on a task of 100 man hours the foreman is assigned to this it would equal to 5 hours but when another operator is asssigned it reduces the task down to 50 does the foremans time still stay at 5 hours which would need to be 10% or does it reduce to 2.5 hours which is 5% of the new duration when two operators do the task. thanks ross
