eu domains

can some one offer some advise please i registered an eu domain through a domain company in 2005 and paid pre registration and domain registration to said company , i have now found out they balls it up and the domain was registered in 2006 by another company , have i got a legal comeback on this as this has stuffed up my invasion into europe

It depends really.. have you got it on paper that they reserved it for you? and proof of payments.. im not personaly sure on laws of companys saying yes we will reserve that for you and so on as i wasn't aware that they could 100% guarentie a domain for them to sell on before the service is running. But in the normal world if you have it on paper then i would sugest yes they are liable.
