Considering my XPS Gen 2 is in the habit of blowing it's graphics card RAM (I'm using it at the moment, Safe Mode + Network) does any one know of a supplier for the mini-agp form factor cards?

As taking a look when the engineer last visited the whole thing is on a daughter board and looked pretty much a 'standard' thing, much like mini-pci. And well, the waranty won't last for ever and financially it's either insurance rolleyes or bin should it go out of warranty.

As far as I am aware there is no such thing as Mini-AGP. You get reduced height cards for use in rackmount servers. If you are talking about a laptop then it's most likely an MXM card. In that case you can buy some cards from www.mxm-upgrade.com/ These cards are not easy to buy!

Yeah, I hadn't heard of it until I started investigating either. MXM looks 'almost' like the job, but it's the wrong style of connector, needs to be a plug/socket format as opposed to a PCB edge style one. I belive... and don't quote me, this could be the main difference between the two standard?

Or more likley the Dell is doing its own thing.

Quite possibly. They usually have non-standard connectors for the PC front panel on their motherboards just to stop you upgrading...
