Virus??

Can anyone shed any light as to why I cannot get rid of a load of anti-virus ads that always pop-up on my toolbar? It's telling me my system is 47% too slow because of viruses and why my homepage always defualts to a internet security website. It will not let me access Google and is now telling me I have to buy this and that.....

Is there anything I can do or do I have to forever close the windows when they pop-up every 20 seconds, it's doing my head in!!

Are you running any antispyware, ie Spybot and Adaware ?

Of not, then download and run both of these, same goes for av software.
