Question:
nVidia 7900GT (Gainward) on Asus AN32N8 or something (their top dog one for AMDs).
Anyway, been replaced with one with working rear audio connections, but the LCD TV the wee lad has (Samsung 19" wide) is flickering quite badly on DVI input.
Changing the refresh to 59 or 75 from 60 doesn't seem to make a difference.
It used to do it previously when turned on, but went after about 5-10 mins max.
Xbox 360 over component doesn't have this issue at all no matter how soon after the TV is turned on from off or standby.
The previous mobo was connected via VGA.
So, just wondering if it's the TV itself? The GC? The mobo (again!)? Or something else.
PSU is 550W SLI CoolerMaster one.
Don't have any spares to swap in/out and see what (if anything) makes a difference.

Hmm and it's plugged in to an LCD TV not a "puka monitor"?

If so it could be that the card's trying to make the TV display something it's not quite capable of; try setting the refresh rate to say 60Hz and/or dropping the resolution down... start at 800x600 and work up from there.

IMHO, TV+Computer = possible oddness.

All in one TV/monitor - 1440x900 resolution has and is fine for the 7900 to display.
It's basically a 16x10 monitor with a TV tuner card built in.
Works perfectly as I said with the 360 on each and every game, inc. 60Hz only ones such as DOA.
It also gets recognised as a Samsung xyz by the GC.
I'll try the change of resolution to see what effect it has, if any at all, but given the flicker isn't there on the 360 nor TV channels, then I'm thinking it's the PC where the issue lies.
