DNS server error when using (next door's) wireless LAN
Discussion
Due to my broadband currently being FUBAR'd (thanks Sky for your sh1te customer service), I have resorted to using next doors unsecured bandwidth, courtesy of their superb wireless LAN.
However, although I have a 80% of max signal strength, when I try and load a page, I momentarily have the PC looking for the requested page prior to returning a 'server not found' type page, with a small "c:\........\dns error..." error message in the status bar at the foot of the screen.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of the DNS message and get on with using the(ir) internet connection available?

hahaha check that it gives you an IP address and if it does then goto http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or what ever the gateway is. and have a look at status it may be that they havn't been paying bills or just have never got it connected properly.

Captain,
I can't currently see the net due to a DNS error! I may have difficulty to connecting to www.thisreliesonmyDNSworkingOK.com!
