I have a slight niggle with iTunes - when I import / burn some tracks, iTunes cannot always locate album artwork.

I then find a copy of the appropriate artwork online, no problem.

The problem is after I have dragged the artwork to the album in Itunes, it is only associated with the first track of the album, how can I get it to associate with all the ablum tracks, without manually pasting it to each track.

All ideas & suggestions gratefully rec'd,

Many thanks

Chris

Within iTunes highlight all the tracks of the particular album. Then simply paste the Artwork into the area in the bottom left-hand corner.

That takes forever though.
I've foudn the same thing with the first track scenario too. Lot's of confusion out there as to how it works best.
Apparently having an iTunes account facilitates the (more efficient) getting of cover work. The 'Advanced' drop down menu has a tab 'Get Album Cover' but this just reads from your own cache I think (correct me if I'm wrong there).
let me know if there's an alternative to the copy and paste method.

Tried that - it imports the artwork to the first track only...

All looks rosy, but then play the second track on the album, and the artwork vanishes...

Still trying to find an alternative to the copy & paste method, as I have over 40Gb of music, and probably about half of it has no artwork available via iTunes...

The joys!

Ok, another option. Download iTunes Art Importer from the following URL:

www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml

Give that a go.

I've actually sussed how to do it from within iTunes...

select all the tracks you want to have the same artwork. Right click & choose "Get Info"

this opens a new window that you can edit the track details. check the artwork selection, then double click in the box. You can then import artwork to all the selected tracks at the same time.

This get info box is also great if the album is a compilation of different artists, check the compiliation box, and itunes then files the album once, rather than bu=y each individual artist.

You can also select gapless playback from here if it is a mixed album...

Hope that helps

Check your artwork window. Does it say Now Playing or Currently Selected across the top? If its now playing, click the arrow so it changes to currently selected.
