Hi guys,
Does anyone here have one of these USB digital TV sticks? What are they like?

I would like to get one for my new laptop. By the looks of things you need to connect up to your home aerial but I would rather one of those mini aerials

I works reasonably well, but is limited by the aerial, the small stick supplied with mine isn't much use at all, but if there is a proper aerial available it's fine.

Agree'd.. The bundled aerials are near enough useless.

I agree about the aerial comments. You'd have to be within the shadow of crystal palace to get a decent signal. On my travels I did stay in a hotel once where I got full signal strength from the puny little stick. You can't expect too much though... just compare the size of the antennae stuck to most roofs! If you intend connecting it to your domestic aerial you should get comparable results to any other freeview box.

Sounds about right. They're usually software only so will be passing a lot of data via the USB port. It would be interesting to use a 1.1 port and see what, if anything happened.

I have used mine on USB 1.1 and can't get a signal even if pluged into tv antenna which gets digital.

Mine works well on the laptop. Don't know what version usb it is other than it always says "This device can perform faster...." so it's definately not USB 2.
