Flash 8 -first of many questions

[orinoco]

Calling all you jeenyuses out there - I have just bought Flash 8 and have made my first little moving circle - I wanted to export it as an animated gif to show someone but when I export it as a gif I either get 100 copies of the circle as in the frames of a movie or a single image - can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please...
