Sticking access password in Google came up with this

www.tucows.com/preview/356456

Copy the database somewhere else first and give it a whirl.

Have you tried the built-in Access repair function? (I seem to recall there is one)

In my admittedly limited experience of recovering Access DB files if the standard tools with Access wont fix it then you are better off restoring from backup. You do have a backup don't you?

Try Jetcomp, I've had quite good success where access wouldn't open the file.

Also, I had a huge one once where newish versions of access wouldn't open it, but an old version did open & repair it. Might have been 97 or 2K.

If you manage to repair it, check the data very carefully afterwards. Check totals, check random records, go back as far as you can.

If jetcomp fails, its restore time. Infact, if you've got a backup just restore anyway - its quicker and more certain!

Eta: 'Ave it! Gew on lad, get in.

UPDATE
We managed to recover it but all autonumbers have changed top number.. anyone know of anyway to change this as oviusly access wont let us change..

We're talking bout a database with over 100 relations

and Plasticpig unfortunately our last backup was a month ago.. being a typical IT company we never get round to resolving our own issues..

Oh i tryed jetcomp but no joy

You could try sucking the data out using a ODBC/JET/OLEDB connection?

Are you running SQL Server anywhere? It ships with a DTS package that easily enables data transfer from one DB to another...
