I'm not sure this is the right forum, but...

I need a new bluetooth headset to work with my Motorola RAZR v3i; my current Moto "surfboard" handsfree is OK, but having just changed cars to one with a much louder exhaust than previously, I'm having trouble hearing the headset over the noise.

Does anyone know of any headsets that are particularly made for noisy environments?

Thanks in advance thumbup

But seriously, have you thought about a fully fitted bluetooth carkit, wired into car stereo speakers, should be able to hear that! Parrot CK3100, just got mine for about £88. Simple to fit, ideal.

Dont get a hands free car kit, useless in a noisy car. In fact the one built into my omega by vauxhall is useless and thats a quiet car. In every car where Ive had a car kit fitted I end up not being able to hear properly or shouting at people whenever I go fast. Bluetooth is the only way to go. The new cheapie vodafone one is pretty good, about £25 , 10 day standby and good volume - and its made by plantronics so the voice quality is ok too.

Thanks for the input, guys thumbup

I can't really go for an in-car kit as I generally use two cars interchangeably, so it's cheaper and easier just to use a headset.

What I had in mind was something similar to those sealed in-ear noise blocking earphones from Shure. Does anyone know of any bluetooth headsets like that?

I used to have a Nokia kit (CARK91? + 6310 phone) in a Peugeot 406 and even at motorway speeds people used to be surprised if it came up in conversation that I was in the car - they really couldn't tell.

Many of our (various) company cars had the same set-up and the biggest problem we had was that people chatted (which is an indication of how well the kits worked) all the time they were driving so the bills were huge.

I've got a Parrot Minikit (www.parrot.biz) which is great... and the other Parrot models that interface with the radio seem highly regarded too...

Built in by Vauxhall, says it all!!laugh

Have no probs with my Parrot kit, loud as you like through the stereo and people on the other end don't even know I'm in the car (which is a new shape L200, not exactly quiet under hard acceleration!!).

Got fed up with everyone thinking I lived in Cardiff, so changed to my surname.

Now everyone thinks I live in Bolton.
