hehe Forgive my description. You know, the little mouse-like thing that sits on top of the TV and lets you turn the sky channel over from any room in the house?

I recall there being a better system, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, was it some kind of pyramid. It does the same thing as the mouse, but I think it is wireless.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Cheers.

The SkyGnome is what you are referring to. It's a 'radio' that links to your Sky box that allows you to change channels and listen to any sky channel around the house.

cheers for that. What I really need is something that is wireless, like that, that just turns over the channel from different rooms, preferably from the remote control. Is the gnome just for audio programmes or can I use it to change and watch ordinary channels?

The gnome changes to any channel (by changing the channel on the box), but only provides an audio stream. I don't know if you can control the gnome by remote or not.

Your thinking of the Powermid, which is a wireless video sender and IR extender.

Bloody awful thing, leaky and un-reliable (IMHO)

One question, why do you just want to do the remote, when you have a cable feed to the tv and using the sky eye will be so much more reliable?

If I understand your question correctly, I don't want to run coaxial cable all over the house, which you have to do with the mouse thing. The TV's have to be phsically linked for that.
