We are exploring the possibilities of advertising "pay by click" on Google.
Everyone I have spoken to says, give it a go. But it is not their money that they are spending.
Can someone give me some constructive feedback, from experience.
Bearing in mind, that some of the tag words in my line of business go for £1 per click, that soon adds up to a lot of money at the end of the month.
Thanks in advance.

Adwords do you mean?

I get great results compared to what I spend.

You dont have to go with the £1 per click, you can set your own prices. You wont be at the top but its not just price that dictates the ad position.

You can do it so your ad has a hard ceiling so lets say you are willing to spend £200 per month, when you hit that, the ad goes dormant so you can manage your spend completely.

YHM.

As I said in my email, AdWords can be very successful and easy to measure in terms of success. As Matt says, you can also tightly control your expenditure. However, I would also consider assessing Search Engine Optimisation services (which my company, Cantarus can offer) which can improve your rating in the natural search engine results as an alternative or complement to AdWords.
