Can anyone help me with this? I've recently installed MSVS on my WinXP laptop. Installed ok, but I'm buggered if I can access the admin website. It continuously prompts me for a login, despite using the correct local admin credentials.

I've found plenty of technotes telling me to edit the dcom settings for authenticated users, but I already had the correct rights.

confused

You need to add the http address to the Trusted Sites part under Tools > Internet Options > Security in IE, and then change the custom level within the settings for the Trusted Sites configuration to "Automatic Login with Current username and password".

This will then parse your credientials to the site whenever you connect to any of the Trusted Sites when they request your credientials.

Beware using this though if the site is not https, your passing credentials over the connection in plain text.

Thanks Neil - no good though...

...I suspect it's because I'm running VMWare server on the same laptop!
