I need/want a flat screen telly that allows me to plug my Mac Mini into and view the image in the best resolution/quality available. Can anyone advise what I should look out for? I don't obviously want 800x600 resolution! Oh and it will need to be a 32" screen. hehe

Most 32" screens are 1366x768, which isn't that great (in fact I have a 17" phillips at that resolution). There are some full 1080p (1960x1080 I think) screens out there, but they are £1500 plus.

Below are a couple of options (can do better than Currys but I had it open)

Samsung LE32R73BD £650 online at Currys
Toshiba 32WLT66 £599 " " "
PHILIPS 37PF9731D £1600 " " " (1080p 37" )

Thanks Mark. So it doesn't matter what screen I go for really as the resolution will be the same? (Unless I spend £££ Does the same apply to the Apple Cinema displays do you know?

Cheers

Actually I've just checked and the cinema display quotes the following:

Apple said:
23-inch (viewable)
1920 x 1200 optimal resolution
16.7 million colors

Now if I were to get a digital receiver for my Mac, link it to this screen, is there any reason why I can't use it as a TV?

No reason at all, but then it all depends on what the Mac mini is being used for?
If you'll spend more time using it mainly as a computer, then the CD makes sense.
If you'll spend more time with it acting as a media centre, then the LCD TV (32-37" ) makes more sense, plus offering surfing etc from the sofa rather than 18" away.
Ultimately, I think the latter is likely to be the ideal in the long term.

Uliltmately I would be inclined to agree with you. My mini will be used as my media centre, as I have an iBook for using as my daily machine. However will the relatively low resolution not be a disadvantage?

Not at 12+ feet away!
The higher rez of a 23" is only of benefit to graphics at 18" away from your eyeballs.
Video/TV - bigger pixels sat further way from is the ideal scenario.
