Unable to download Spybot software

Having recently "updated" my Spybot spyware/adware programme I notice that it no longer gives a list of the spyware it has detected ready for removal after running a check.
Instead all I get now are two faults listed, both are Microsoft Windows Security Centre Firewall Disable Notify

I'm concerned that the software is not working correctly since I've installed this upgrade.
Could anyone confirm whether this is indeed the case ?

Failing that, could anyone recommend a better free Spyware /Adware scanning/removal programme (preferably one that's easy to down load for a computer dimwit like myself !)

It will only show spyware if you actually have some. I use Spybot and find it pretty good generally, though I also run Adaware along side it.

Spybot also takes some measures to help prevent spyware infection, so it could be that you are seeing less because of that.

I've been using Spybot since I got the new PC and the only notifications I ever get are the windows firewall disable notify and another windows one I can't remember the name of.

Either worry about it, or don't. I choose the latter.

I also use Spyware Blaster and that has never shown a problem either.

I'd recommend Windows Defender and AVG free anti spyware and anti Malware. Also use ad-aware.
