1 gig of ram,
320 gig Hard disk
256Mb Radeon Garphics Card
PCI TV tuner card

I'd push for 2gig if you could. Other than looks about in the right ballpark.

If your into games (especially race sims) you'd want a better graphics card and more memory, otherwise it seems fine. Might be worth having a look at Evesham too. My pc is from there, they are often cheaper and they have a better reputation for customer service.

yes Saw the 'Vista' in your list and thought the same..

Not too sure about the graphics card too, Vista takes a toll on a lot of hardware fronts, if you not playing modern games, it should be bearable however.

go for 2GB of RAM
The hard drive is quite small
What Radeon model is that? You really ought to go for a higher end GeForce or Radeon with 512MB.

If you want to play games, the X1300 will not be up to the job.

Looks good at first glance until you read the full specs.
1. AMD processor no longer the best. The 5000+ may be quick but can still be outpaces by the intel 6300 (when overclocked), which is cheaper and a cinch to overclock.
2. 1GB ram is now minimum
3. Graphics card is way underpowered and will need replacing soon.
4. an Analogue TV tuner is poor. Should be looking for a digital tuner so you can get freeview.

Agreed - 1GB of RAM for Vista is not great, 2GB will make a difference.

did you lot miss the bit about...

"so it will be for DVDs TV and other bits and bobs.. just general surfing but i dont want a crapa.. "

I would suspect it will be fine for what you want, if you are ripping lots of dvds then more ram and a second hdd would be useful.

Point is that £670.00 not well spent when there are better deals out there. If you look through some PC mags you can spend under £600 and get better specs.

Oh I agree that you will always get a better deal, I was just trying to say was that maybe he does need the latest graphics etc...

You will probably get a better deal from Dell if you ask nicely. We got them to upgrade 3 19" to 20" high res recently (all of 3 inches )
