have a problem here that i am trying to work out and i'm thinking that it might be a registry error.
I am trying to connect to the internet via a dial up connection and i used to have it setup so that as soon as i clicked on the IE6 icon the connection box would appear so that i would need to enter the username and password for the ISP that i am connecting with, But this no longer appears with IE7. I've gone into the Internet properties and selected "always dial a connection" with the ISP selected and i've made sure that there is no tick next to "work offline" in IE. But everytime i close the IE window and disconnect and then try to connect again, the connection box does not appear as it should.
Any ideas as to why this happens?
thanks

Personally I'd go into "network connections", via your start menu or control panel, and select the dial up connection, right click on it and go to "set as default connection".

Is this not the same as going to the connections tab, within the Internet Connection Options?
