Anybody have any advice how to stop my computer having blue screen crashes and freezing when playing World of Warcraft? It was fine up until last sunday then a new patch came out and now it crashes everytime I play it on this computer.

I get the message "stop 0x000000008E" or similar.

Can anyone help please?

Nvidia display card? Outdated drivers can cause this.

If you google - "stop 0x000000008E" you'll get loads of others asking the same and lost of potential help answers from driver checks to BIOS checks.

Could it be a lack of RAM causing the problem?

I had this with mine, turned out the memory was slightly loose. I pushed it back in and all has been fine since.

Have you tried opening the task manager on the performance tab and running your game at the same time and switch between the two by keeping the ALT key down and pressing the TAB key so you can see if your CPU or/and memory can keep up with the game?
