£1.49 for a small punnet in my local shop.

As for the model - Giselle Bundchen right about does it for me

They are normally about £15 a month for the data package and you get the handset bundled with that. As a single user they are OK but you miss out on the instant email unless you use the one supplied to you by your service provider. You can get windows mobile handsets which do everything that the blackberry will do and more for a lower cost now. If you're using it with a BES however then it's great and I think that is where the real value of it comes from with syncing chalendars and instant email from the company servers.

Thanks for moving this to the right place. I need to explain I am completely computer illiterate and I need one for work to instantly access email from work (and I think double as a phone?). You need to be one grade above me to get one free on work so I am just investigating whether I could afford one.

They are seriously good when used with compatible mail systems. I use one for work and my private email also links into it - not sure how, work set it all up for me. Avoid the Pearl, go for the one with the big keyboard.

I used to use a windows 5 device, the I-mate jas-jar, Orange call it the M5000 and T-mobile also offer it. Heavier but more flexable IMHO as I use it for sat nav and as a PMP as well. The office would not pay my bills unless I went to a blackberry, hence the change. Check out the windows devices as well but they tend to be a lot heavier.

I have a Blackberry Pearl - work supplied - and would highly recommend it.

Small and very easy to use, lots of online help available at:

www.blackberryforums.com

I like the Pearl because it is so small. Not had a problem with the keyboard size in fact I find it easier to use than a regular mobile because of the qwerty layout.

Although it is a work phone I can, via the o2 web site (www.o2email.co.uk), have all my personal emails addresses added. Can't say anything about other networks but o2 works well.

Not idea of the cost other than I only got it because by me having it saved us money! Strange but true!

Give me a minute and I'll see if I can post on here with it, well thats the big test

Any offers over £125.00 gratefully accepted!
Slight scratch to bottom of casing, but otherwise perfect.
I can email photo's in detail if required.

8707v really is very good but watch the battery life as it goes through them like no tomorrow...

No idea what they cost or the bandwidth charges I'm afraid - as it's a perk (read essential 24x7) of working for the company...

The battery on mine is fine, it gets plugged into the pee cee when I am in the office, and hasn't run out when I am out and about. Longest was 4 days abroad and still had some juice left
