So go on then what wierd and wonderfull problems have you come across as auto updated merrily puts ie7 and then then ie7 updates on peoples pc's

so far at 4 different sites i've had to contend with

1)stopping wireless access
2) stopping all internet access
3) falling off networks
4) stopping file sharing in some applications
5) reducing machines to a crawl
6) crashing apps and machines all over the place

some of this if fixed by fiddling with settings, some by uninstalling and some by resorting to systems restore yikes

anyone else.....

No problems at all, across several machines running XP Pro and Vista.

A couple of badly-coded sites don't display correctly, but that's their fault.

Had a couple of machine randomly crashing IE while browsing, but this usually turns out to be a plugin that needs updating (java or flash or whatever)

IE7 seems... twitchy. i'm sure it is just plug-ins not auto-updating and oddbod things on computers freaking it out.

However. Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Internet Explorer 7 > Remove.

It'll wind the system back to IE6 and I don't believe WinUpdate's will prompt again.

not always, sometimes its not there, there are uninstallers in the ie7 and ie7 update directories but sometimes these dont work... i.e7 seems to do strange things to the network stack sometimes as well as adding
stange security settings
