I have just been reading the PET thread and I thought this deserved a new thread.

I have an apple 2 that works, the J key is depressed constantly although I'm looking for a new switch to fix this.

It has a graphics tablet with its interface card and the pen. (Yes this is true it does have a graphics tablet!
It has been upgraded to 48K ram if I remember correctly
I have a Apple floppy drive, unsure if it works though it just seems to try and read the 5 1/4" disks all the time.
I have the original Apple printer too, with a roll of paper.
It has a black and white Hitachi monitor too oh and the power supply!

It all works and is the same as this one:

I'm really wondering if anyone knows if they go for a lot of money? If they are rare or do people just chuck them?

I have one too, an Apple ][ Europlus, with two 5.25" floppy drives and a Microvitec Colour Cub monitor. It works perfectly, but most of the floppies are corrupted. Last time I checked they were not worth megabucks.

Don't chuck it! I'm going to show mine to my son in a few years to explain that this was Daddy's first computer when he was 13 and it was seriously cool back in 1980.

Oh I've one of those too.

I've got an iisi and a beige G3 desktop and another too.

the oldest one works but the others don't... Blooming typical!

The one you have I'veen go for £120!! but most go for £5 - £20. I'd put it in a box, keep it dry and maybe get it out every 3 months to make sure it works and let the battery recharge.

Wow, really, I can't say that I've paid that much attention, I don't think I'd sell it anyway as its the last of my 'collection' that used to include all sorts of weird and wonderful creations from the 80's. I even had a Wang computers machine. Lovely machine though isn't it, bit of history. Think I paid about £20 for it back in 1995.

Another one I still have (and I keep meaning to stick on ebay) is a Powerbook Duo and the Duo dock. Classic bit of industrial design that. I'd keep it if I could get away with it, but I've already got a Blue and White Powermac G3 that takes up a fair bit of room.

Oh yes. Great machines. I have an Apple 2+, couple of motherboards, Apple 2e and Apple 2c plus a couple of Apple 2gs's I also have an old Mac 512k (and 128k motherboard) and a few other odd/sods. Also a stack of other old computer hardware including a collection of calculators
Sorry I may be a nerd but I think some (not all) machines should be saved like old cars or other collectable items.

Stick it on Ebay but put a GOOD reserve on it .. if you have the tablet thats a good bonus and selling point.

Please for gawd sake DONT throw it out!!
