USB ports playing up

Are these USB ports direct on the motherboard or via an external hub ? If external could be playing up , try plugging directly into a USB port.

Or it could be a misbehaving USB device crashing the BUS. Unplus all your USB devices, then add back one at a time see where it starts misbehaving.

right click 'My computer' > click 'properties' > click 'hardware' [TAB] > Click 'Device Manager' > Go down to where it says 'Universal Serial bus controllers' and click the '+' on the left hand side > this will now expand and go through the process of right clicking everything under 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' until there are non left > Now restart the PC and see how that is for you

Finally got round to having a tweak, and it seems that normal service has been resumed.
